Apparently it is possible to blow up bedrock in Minecraft 1.7. With the new summon command, you can summon a fireball that has enough power to break bedrock. Each block in the game has a blast resistance. Sand is 2.5, Wood is 10, and Cobblestone is 30. Bedrock has a resistance too, of 18,000,000. Therefore, bedrock is not invincible. With the summon command, the player in this video summons a fireball that blows up bedrock... with a two and a half hour wait time. Why? It's simple. Minecraft is simply calculating the amount of damage the fireball will do. When the time is up, the damage will be applied. Enjoy the video!
